Current Status : Alive
A former friend of Lara Croft. While at a dig site in Paraíso, a mysterious entity (known as Fluffy) was killing Lara's colleagues and university peers. Lara finds Amanda in a an open room examining a stone embedded in the wall. Thinking the stone will unlock the door so they can escape, Amanda pulls it from the wall. When she does the mysterious entity disappears and the tomb starts to crumble and flood. As Lara and Amanda make for the exit, some falling rocks land on Amanda's leg, trapping her. As Amanda struggles to free herself, a gate closes on Lara, blocking her path to Amanda. Lara has no choice but to swim away to avoid drowning.
Years later, she meets James Rutland, who somehow knows about the relationship between Lara and Amanda. He mentions that Amanda said she was "sloppy" with her work. Because of what he said, Lara suspects that Amanda didn't die in the tomb. With the help of her friend, Anaya Imanu, Lara returns to the dig site in Paraiso and swims through the wreckage to find the tomb. After draining the water, she searches the pile of rubble where she last saw Amanda. All she finds is her unlaced shoe, indicating that she escaped and survived.
Lara is reunited with Amanda later in Kazakhstan where she confronts her about what happened in Paraíso. Amanda is upset because they didn't go looking for her after the accident. After catching up with Amanda, Lara learns that she harnessed the power of the mysterious entity to escape the tomb. The entity is manifested in the stone that Amanda removed from the wall and now wears around her neck. She has the power to unleash the entity (Fluffy) on her victims. Using the entity, Amanda attempts to prevent Lara from obtaining her fragment of the sword.
After he loss, she and Lara are confront each other once again in Bolivia. After Lara activates the looking glass, Amanda warns Lara to take the sword out of the dais. Meanwhile, Lara is using the looking glass to warn her mother in the past not to touch the sword. Amanda's shouts to "take out the sword" can be heard on the other side of the looking glass causing Lara's mother to remove it. The looking glass explodes and the connection between the past and the present is broken. Lara blames Amanda for killing her mother. Amanda denies that she is dead and tells Lara she is in Avalon. By pulling out the sword her mother was teleported there years ago. If Lara pulled out the sword, she herself would have been teleported there. After the encounter, Lara spares Amanda's life, possibly for old time's sake. After Lara discovers one of Thor's gauntlets under the Mediterranean Sea, several mercenaries appear and attack her, stealing the gauntlet. As the leader exits, he pauses, telling Lara that Amanda Evert sends her regards. When Lara surfaces from the water, she sees that a giant ship is in the water next to her. Amanda is finally seen when Lara ventures deep into the ship. She complains that the glove is too small for her, and a second, female voice explains that the glove only works for Lara. An explosion is heard from the ship and Amanda leaves frustrated. As Amanda leaves on a helicopter, Lara jumps out and shoots at her, catching her in the cheek. In order to distract her, Amanda throws the gauntlet into the sea. By the time Lara resurfaces, she's already gone. The next time The two meet is when Lara speaks to Natla again. When Lara tries to break her out, Amanda stops her. The two prepare to fight, but before they can do anything, Lara's doppelganger attacks Amanda, allowing Lara to free Natla. When Lara fights the doppelganger in Avalon, Amanda steps in and kills it using her powers. She says she did this because she needs Thor's hammer to defeat Natla. Moments later, however, the pair are attacked by a horde of thralls, and Amanda stays behind to take care of them. The thralls prove too much for her though, and she tries to flee. When Natla notices her though, she strikes her down with a fireball. Only after Natla has been defeated does she wake up, and she and Lara try to find a way to get out. They do eventually, but it involves Lara pushing down a switch, and the dias on which they escape on is too far away for her. She is forced to trust Amanda to hold her hand, and though she was tempted not to, Amanda does. When they arrive back to the real world, Amanda does think about killing Lara, but Lara, after everything they've been through, persuades her not to. Amanda leaves Lara to say goodbye to her mother.
