City of the Dead
The City of the Dead is an area of Medieval Cairo. It is a four mile long cemetary, full of tombs and mausoleums where many of the poorer citizens of Cairo live and work alongside their dead ancestors.

Summary
Lara is in a long twisting street in front of some locked iron gates. The street is full of Egyptian Snipers and Automatic Machine Guns positioned on certain buildings. Lara can also go underground with her borrowed motorcycle and explore the tombs and tunnels further.
She will also be able to open the iron gates where she started and gain access to a tall tower with a staircase running up the inside wall. Here she will be able also to raise a block with a lever and access the roof of the building across the street.
Lara must also run the gauntlet with two automatic machine guns positioned on top of the highly decorated mosque. She must pull the dead body of an Egyptian soldier off a metal grate so that she can gain access to the crawlspace above.
Use of this crawlspace will see her on top of the roof facing the mosque. She will then be able to destroy the machine guns by shooting a barrel of petrol, blowing up a helicopter as well in the process. On top of the mosque is a lever which allows access through another metal gate into the Chambers of Tulun.
