Crystal Dynamics is an American video game developer formely owned by Eidos Interactive, now by Square Enix. It was founded in 1992 by some ex-Sega members. After the badly recived Angel of Darkness Eidos transferred the rights to the Tomb Raider franchise from Core Design to Crystal Dynamics. They have developed three succesfull games in the series so far: Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary and the latest Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Their previous work includes the Gex series and the Legacy of Kain Series. They have included several Legacy of Kain references in their two Tomb Raider games so far, including symbols for Kain and Raziel on some of Lara's bonus outfits, a portrait of Kain in her manor, and the Soul Reaver sword rewarded for 100% completion in Legend.
