Derelict Apartment Block
The Derelict Apartment Block is the second level of Angel of Darkness. Lara Croft attempts to hide here to escape the attention of the French Police.

Summary
Lara enters through the main doors of the block, and allows the door to lock behind her. At this point, the player can manoeuvre a heavy cabinet across the entrance - however this does not affect the policemen's entry, and is best avoided.
Making her way up the main stairwell, Lara must escape the police and their tear-gas grenades, while jumping over holes in the floors of the apartment. There is a lot of loose rubble and masonry, so Lara must watch her step.
Small bedrooms can be accessed from the stairwell, providing Lara with health and ammunition. Her main objective is to return power to the elevator in the stairwell, and collect a key to make it out onto the Industrial Rooftops.

Notes
From the appearance of the rooms, it could be theorised that the Apartment Block was once used as a pension where budget travellers and the homeless could rent bedrooms with shared bathrooms. Certainly there don't seem to be any full-size apartments in the building.
