Ducati
Ducati is a well-known Italian motorcycle company. Ducati's motorcycles appear in Tomb Raider series also.
History
Found in July 4th 1926 by the Cavalieri Ducati brothers Adriano, Bruno and Marcello. In the beginning Ducati wasn't only motorcycle manufacturer but also made electrical and electronical components. However in 1954 while beeing under state control, the company split into Ducati Elettrotecnica (Ducati Energia) and Ducati Meccanica (Ducati Motor). Ducati has been succesful in several races. One of the first races was the III Motogiro d'Italia in 1955, which Ducati won with the Marianna 100cc. In year 1956 they continued racing succesfully with the 125cc version of Marianna.
In September 1957 Leopoldo Tartarini and Giorgio Monetti, two Ducati workers, and their Ducati 175 motorbikes went for a trip around the world and achieved this feat in just one year. 1958 was a very good year for Ducati also because of Bruno Spiaggiari, who won the 125 Italian championship with the Ducati 125 Desmo.
Ducati in Tomb Raider series
In Tomb Raider: Legend Lara Croft travels to Japan. After attending to Toru Nishimura's party she goes after Shogo Takamoto. In Nishimura's building's roof she finds a brand new Ducati Superbike.
