Giza
Giza is a town on the western banks of the river Nile, technically a suburb of Egypt's capital Cairo. It is one of the largest in the world, with nearly five million people. It is the last collection of levels in The Last Revelation.
History
The most famous historical areas of Giza are of course the various Ancient Egyptian sites such as the Pyramids and the Sphinx that draw millions of tourists every year. Nearby is also the Ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis.
Giza itself was largely redeveloped over the 19th and 20th centuries, with particular attnetion paid to infrastructure and renovation of buildings. It continues to attract a lot of attention from the Egyptian government because its importance to the tourism industry.
It is commonly thought that Giza is largely desert, but of course to house the millions of people that live here, it is one of the centres of Egyptian culture and one of the larger population centres of Egypt.
Appearance in The Last Revelation
Lara sees nothing of the modern town apart from several outbuildings around the ruins. Giza is the last 'set' of levels in The Last Revelation.
