Guardian of Semerkhet
Trapped under the sarcophagus room with Semerkhet's warning still ringing in her ears, Lara must escape through secret tunnels and passages below, fending off the Guardian - an invincible Apis Bull.

Summary
Lara's only way out of the sarcophagus room is through a passage in the floor with a series of traps of slicing blades blocking her way. She will find herself in a room with a map of Egypt, marking some major urban and religious sites in Ancient and Medieval Egypt.
The map is the key to her progression. Through another passage she will find another room with suspended platforms above a dip in the tomb floor. The door at the other side of the platforms is timed, and more bladed traps will impede her way. At the other side of the door is a plinth with a small vraeus statue on top. This is used to activate a mechanism above the map, which reveals the Guardian Key.
Using this Key, Lara will be able to access a long hallway built in grey stone. At the doors to her left something will crash into them as she proceeds along the hallway. It is only when she approaches a large door at the end of the hall that the Guardian (an Apis Bull) crashes through it.
The Guardian will chase Lara throughout the few sidechambers of the hallway, but the main objective is to gain access to a large square hall beyond. Lara must act as bait so that the Guardian will crash into doors and switches as she wishes. The level is exited via doors on the opposite side of the square hall. Here she will leave the tomb and arrive in the Eastern Desert.
