Summary
Having just driven through a new tomb from the previous level, Lara follows the transport truck past a huge tomb facade. She then loses him outside the gatehouse of another tomb or perhaps a mortuary temple, where she must open the gate by climbing around on the scaffolding and pulling a lever.
The ruins are full of White Robed Mercenaries who perch on top of platforms to shoot at Lara. She continues through the valley until she follows the truck through the entrance to another tomb.
What follows is one of the most beloved FMV sequences of the Tomb Raider Series. Lara emerges driving at full speed from the tomb, racing after the tire tracks of her quarry. She sees it parked beside a convoy of vehicles in front of a barge floating on the river Nile. She accelerates towards them as the men continue to shoot at her, and one fetches a rocket launcher. She shoots the man holding it who drops it, and it explodes, blowing up the vehicles in the process. Lara drives at full speed towards the barge and lands on it, scattering farm animals.
As she drifts off, an expensive car draws up, and out gets Werner Von Croy. He berates the Guide, but gathers that the Amulet talks of the High Priest of Horus, Semerkhet. Von Croy looks thoughtfully at the retreating barge as he receives this information.

Notes
KV5 is known to be the largest tomb yet found in the King's Valley necropolis, with over 120 rooms already excavated. It housed the bodies and treasures of the sons of Ramesses II. The facade of the KV5 tomb is faintly reminiscent of that at Abu Simbel, at Aswan further down the Nile.
