Karima Adebibe
Bio
Karima Adebibe was born on the 14th of February 1985 in London Borough of Bethnal Green. She is of GreekCypriot , Irish and Moroccan descent. She shares her birth date with Lara Croft.
She used to work as a sales assistant in Topshop and had a minor role as a sacrificial maiden, in the 2004 film, Alien Vs. Predator.
Karima became the seventh official Lara Croft model. She was selected February 14th 2006, her Birthday. Her Tomb Raider career began with Tomb Raider Legend. She had a two year contract with Eidos, and within those two years she advertised Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary.
Karima attended a competition to be the new Lara. The competition had hundreds of woman wanting to be Lara Croft, and Karima won this competition. She embarked on a training course to help prepare herself for the role, and also to make her physically able to take on the role of Lara. In mid August it was announced that Alison Carroll was going to be the new Lara Croft.
"This is an incredible opportunity for me and one which I plan to grasp with both hands" said Karima. "It's a huge challenge to follow in the footsteps of people like Nell McAndrew and Angelina Jolie, but life is all about challenges and this is perhaps the biggest one for a model and actress."
Adebibe was featured in "The HOT List" in a March 2006 issue of Zoo and she appeared in the film Frontier Blues in 2009
