Madesmoiselle Margot Carvier is a respected academic on Medieval and Renaissance French History and Archaeology. An employee of the Louvre in Paris, she is a close friend and colleague of Werner Von Croy, who was entrusted with his notebook before his death.

Depending on how Lara speaks to her within the game, Carvier will either offer her the notebook or call the police to have Lara removed. She is depicted as a tall, no-nonsense, sensible woman, with grey hair in a bun and glasses. Her small but comfortable apartment reflects her passion for history and art.

Carvier becomes a victim of the Paris Monstrum, killed the morning after Lara visits her at her home. Lara is given this information by Janice, a prostitute from the Parisian Ghetto.

She only appears on the fourth level, Margot Carvier's Apartment.
