Madubu Gorge
Madubu Gorge bisects the mountains of Kuru in half, cutting a deep swathe of canyons and waterfalls in which the natives have built huge mechanisms designed to control water flow and direction. Among the bat-haunted caves are temple structures and votive heads that spew flames and the level is filled with a variety of traps. It is the third level of the South Pacific stage of Tomb Raider III.

Summary
The gorge is another prime example of Tomb Raider III's multi-path claim. Lara arrives on one side of the gorge looking over to a larger temple structure. Lara can either cross the river to access a kayak beneath in a flooded chamber, or explore the passages that interconnect above the waterfalls.
No matter the route Lara takes, she will end up in a kayak and end up in a large cavern which is plugged with a huge carven stopper on a chain. Lara's next objective is to raise the stopper so that she can access the rooms below. This will involve not only a lot of strenuous kayaking, but a significant amount of climbing and jumping as well.
Eventually Lara will be flushed into a chamber wherein are several crocodiles. After getting rid of these creatures and pulling levers, Lara can access the underground tunnels of the Temple of Puna.
