Matthias Vasiley

Matthias Vasiley was a Czech art and antiques collector who lived in Prague. He is part of the storyline of Angel of Darkness.

Although never seen in-game, Vasiley plays a major part in the gathering of intelligence for both Werner Von Croy and Lara Croft. Von Croy and Vasiley contact each other in connection to the Obscura Paintings before the game's events, and later Vasiley is murdered by the Paris Monstrum.

Lara explores Vasiley's Art Deco townhouse in the Monstrum Crime Scene, the first level of the game's Prague section. Here she will find various pieces of information and background on the Nephilim, the Lux Veritatis and the Periapt Shards.

Vasiley appears to have had quite a mercenary character, and it is known that he and Von Croy had a difficult working relationship, motivated more by financial gain on Vasiley's part than anything else.
