Paris is the capital city of France. Located in northern France, on the river Seine, it is renowned for its many notable landmarks and tourist attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre. It is also the country's largest city, with a population approaching 12 million.

Paris features as the first location Lara explores in Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, before transferring to Prague later in the game. Locales in the city include back streets, a nightclub, the Louvre, storm drains, an archaeological dig site and Werner Von Croy's abandoned apartment, among others.
