Parisian Ghetto
The Parisian Ghetto is similar to the Coastal Ruins of The Last Revelation in that it provides entrances to several other levels or areas. It is generally classed as the fifth level in Angel of Darkness. It is in the eleventh arrondissement of Paris - the most populated area of Paris and any other European city.

Summary
The morning after visiting Mademoiselle Margot Carvier at her apartment, Lara Croft wakes up in a disused Metro train that lies abandoned in a blocked metro tunnel. She can make her way out of here and explore the small group of streets adjacent to the tunnel.
The ghetto cannot be exited except by following the certain events that Lara will come across by talking to the inhabitants. The structure of the level is basically of two large streets (Cours la Seine and Rue Dominique) that run parallel to each other along the direction of the Metro tunnel, with other streets or steps linking them - among these are Rue St Mark and Rue de Piolet. Cours la Seine is the only place where an exit could be found - one end is blocked by a large petrol tanker, the other by barricades.
Among other place names are the Place d'Arcade (where Cafe Metro can be found, and Rue de Clef, a small backstreet where an entrance to the Metro Tunnels can be found.
There are also several other small businesses and locations that Lara can visit - Rennes' Pawnshop, the Willowtree Herbalist, St Aicard's Church, Parc de Lune, Francine's apartment, the Garage and the most significant of them all - Le Serpent Rouge.
Lara can take multiple routes to progress, but there are two areas which she must visit - Bouchard's Hideout and Rennes' Pawnshop.

Notes
The ghetto appears neither to have been an area of particularly Jewish habitation, and is certainly not a ghetto in the American sense. It is merely an area of off-centre Paris that has become stagnant and prone to significant levels of crime. Not only do locals Louis Bouchard and Daniel Rennes maintain a strong grip on the area, but there is evidence of the ghetto being a popular hang out for prostites and their clients - Janice being the foremost example, but also the 'City Guide'.
The area's inhabitants who are not involved in either trade seem to live a fairly squalid and unhappy existence - this would include 'Bad Deal' Pierre, Bernard and the Herbalist - although there are some who appear to be rather better off, such as Francine.
The local church has been turned into a boxing school for the local gangs, headed up by Anton Gris. There are also various vagrants living on the fringes of the ghetto, but they at least appear to be contented with their lot.
Among other businesses apart from the Cafe Metro and the Willowtree Herbalist are a charcuterie, a small market, a garage named 'Auto-Reparation', a sex shop called 'Tres Femmes', an auto parts shop named 'Corduroy' the Hotel Eloise, a bar named 'Lasconi', a building something like a bank named 'Conform' and a computer shop.
The area was also served by the Paris Metro at some point.
Enemies
None, all enemies in this area are found in the buildings and structures surrounding it.
