Pierre Dupont
Not to be confused with 'Bad Deal' Pierre.
Pierre Dupont is the second of Natla's henchman, but unlike Larson, he is far more adept at research, archaeology and tomb-raiding than the latter. In his role in the Tomb Raider games there are many continuity issues over his death.

Core Design's Biography
Born in Nantes, France in 1951.
Pierre took an interest in Lara Croft's exploits after, at a young age, she presented the Louvre with a giant painting that she had uncovered on her adventures.
He was so enamored with the media interest that pursued this venture, he decided that he himself would seek fame through the recovery of historic items.
Often pursuing the same artifacts Lara herself sought, the two became rivals.
Lara is aware he seeks items only for monetary gain, and henceforth will do everything in her power to stop him and his associates from tarnishing her respectable trade.
Crystal Dynamics' Biography
Pierre is one of Lara's archaeological rivals and in the history of the field, there is nobody that has chased the spotlight more than him. Publicly, he has been credited with several high profile archaeological discoveries, yet like Lara, he has been accused of tampering with the sites before informing others of his finds.
Though he sells himself as the consummate archaeologist, in the circles of rich collectors he is known for what he is, a treasure hunter who is adept at finding what people want - for the right price.
Pierre is good at what he does, but in the end he raids tombs for profit, not for any real love of the mysteries of the past.
Characteristics
In both Tomb Raider and Anniversary, Pierre demonstrates an apparent ability to move with great stealth and silence, bypassing traps and without alerting wild animals to his presence. This is in contrast with Lara's efficient but admittedly less cautious approach.
He is also evidently very intelligent, but is also clearly aware of this fact. Thus, he occasionally makes an oversight that although apparently minor, leads to severe consequences.
Death
He is shot to death in the original Tomb Raider, trampled by the Centaurs in the remake Anniversary, and falls to his (presumed) death in Chronicles.
