A raven on the Great Wall.

Ravens are large birds belonging to the Corvidae family. Generally carrion eaters, they are the largest of this group and have been depicted in film, literature and folklore throughout human history. Ravens appear in both Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III.

Tomb Raider II

Ravens only appear in two levels, in China in the Great Wall and in Tibet in Barkhang Monastery. Several individuals attack Lara as she travels the length of the wall. This is very unusual as ravens do not often attack creatures larger than themselves, and most often eat carrion rather than live prey. Although they are very slow flyers they can take quite a lot of ammunition to get rid of them, and can sometimes be difficult for Lara to target.

Tomb Raider III

Ravens appear high up on the roofs and gantries of Thames Wharf. They are subject to the same strengths and weaknesses as those from Tomb Raider II.
