Red Scorpions

Red scorpions are endemic to the tunnels of the tombs under the Valley of the Kings. They occur both individually in pits and holes, or together in groups of two or three. Their sting is not poisonous and they are easy to deal with, requiring only a few bursts of pistol ammunition to kill them.

Their most dangerous feature is their ability to crop up unexpectedly in dead ends - that said, they are very easy to deal with.
