Sharks

Sharks are cartilaginous fish, famed for their ferocity. However while some species of shark are aggressive and highly dangerous, others are small, peaceful and unassuming. Unfortunately for Lara Croft, she generally meets the former.

Tomb Raider II

Lara meets large sharks that resemble Great Whites around the wreck of the Maria Doria. They can swim quite fast and will take over a third of lara's health off if they manage to attack. Difficult to kill with the harpoon gun, it is preferable to either avoid them when forced into the same waters, or kill them from land when possible.

The Last Revelation

Lara meets a Hammerhead Shark swimming around the ruins of Pharos, Temple of Isis. As Lara does not have a weapon that is usable in water in The Last Revelation, there is no way to kill it while swimming. However, it is very easily avoided, and need not be confronted.

Tomb Raider Underworld

Small sharks infest the underwater ruins of Niflheim and are prevalent off the coast of Thailand. They can be easily dealt with, and sometimes do not have to be approached at all.

Larger sharks, the size of small whales swim around the ruined Helheim under the Arctic sea ice. They can be difficult to get rid of without Thor's hammer, Mjolnir.
