Skeletons

While Lara is accustomed to finding shards of bones or the skeletons of unwary explorers and animals that have come before her, in the Last Revelation some re-animated bones, full of the malignant magic of the god Seth haunt the ruins of Alexandria.

These fairly unremarkable skeletons have been exposed to the elements, so any clothing they once wore has been reduced to dust. They still carry long, heavy swords and small circular buckler shields. They appear to be the skeletons of quite tall men, but move in a kind of half-crouch, making Lara head and shoulders taller than they are.

Their bones often lie ready with arms and armour, and when Lara approaches them will chase after her. They can also leap great distances. They will not succumb to ordinary gunfire - they can either be dispatched by pushing them off ledges or into water with a high-powered weapon such as a Shotgun, or by use of explosive ammunition. Their skulls can also be shot off with a carefully aimed crossbow bolt or revolver bullet, making them effectively as dangerous as a headless chicken.
