St Aicard's Church
St Aicard's Church is the main church of the Parisian Ghetto. Although retaining much of the usual church furniture such as an organ and stained glass windows, the church is now the base of a boxing ring and gym reserved for training gang members for Louis Bouchard. Bouchard's hideout lies in the crypts of the church, and one of his right-hand men, Anton Gris trains his men in the church proper.
The church has several pickups in the organ and among the carved platforms around the nave of the church. You can also bet on the outcome of the boxing match with Anton Gris - if you win, you get his gold watch. If you lose, you lose 200 euro.
Notes
It is not clear if there is a real Saint Aicard, although with the multitudes of little known saints in the Catholic church it is a real possibility. It certainly seems to be a real French surname.
There is however a page on wikipedia.org about Aicard D'Arles (c. 1040-1113), who was the Archbishop of Arles. This caused conflict with the Comte of Provence, as Aicard was from a rival family, the Viscounts of Marseilles. As a result, Pope Gregory VII asked the clergy of Arles to choose a new Archbishop. They refused, and from then on Aicard ruled without official papal sanction, despite there being a new candidate, Ghibbelin of Sabran.
