Shogo Takamoto

Shogo Takamoto is a character from Tomb Raider Legend. He stole a fragment of Excalibur from Waseda University in Tokyo, and Lara must retrieve it.

Shogo Takamoto was rising star in the Japanese mob for years and is now a Yakuza Kumicho. He has a love of ancient weapons, and he became a fixture in the upscale black market, frustrating collectors and adventurers alike with his mixing of forgeries with authentic rare items, using the strength of the Yakuza to protect himself from cheated buyers. A confrontation with Lara Croft over some forged items, however, led to a loss of face so extreme that he was forced to withdraw from the antiquities underground. Why he did not kill her remains a mystery within the Yakuza, because the idea of him not being able to kill her is beyond belief.

Appearance

Takamoto is a tall, slim man whose wiry frame is covered with a large body tattoo featuring two symmetrical dragons. He is in his late forties or perhaps his early fifties, as he is going bald. He has large, pale eyes and a goatee beard and moustache.

Evidently an intelligent man, as he speaks both English and Japanese fluently, Takamoto's fascination with the past only includes artefacts designed for violence, butchery or the pursuit of power. He was killed in a confrontation with Lara for the tip of Excalibur.
