Talion
The Talion is the key to opening the door of the Temple of Xian. Forged in gold, it is a cylindrical object with a handle. On its surface are ancient Chinese symbols that act like the teeth of a conventional key. It is found in the Ice Palace in Tibet, the fourteenth level of Tomb Raider II.
Background
The age of the Talion, much like that of the Dagger of Xian, cannot be exactly determined. Possibly created at the same time, or slightly later, it forms part of a complicated door mechanism to access the Temple of Xian beneath the Great Wall of China.
The last time it was used before the events of the game was at some point in the last four hundred years, when the Barkhang Monks replaced the dagger so that it would not cause any further harm to humanity. They then placed the Talion in the ruined palaces beneath the Barkhang Monastery.
It was later re-discovered by Lara Croft, and used to access the Temple of Xian during Tomb Raider II.
Powers
Like its companion artefact the Seraph, the Talion is a very complicated key that is impossible to fake.
