Summary

Lara approaches the temple from the RX-Tech campsite, and must make her way through underground passages and caves above a waterfall to reach the inside of the temple. She will come into a large room with a gate to one side, and two smaller doors at each side of the gate.

Lara must explore the areas through the two smaller doors to collect the Ganesha keys which will open the main gate. She will travel through areas once used by the tribe for training devotees and cleansing pools, and will notice how the temple is built to take advantages of the natural tunnels and watercourses of the surrounding landscape. During the game's events several mudslides have occured and changed the layout of the temple considerably - Lara even witnesses one.

Once the gate is opened Lara must quickly climb to the top a wall to escape a set of ceiling spikes that will descend to meet her. After evading this, Lara will come upon a hall with two Shiva Statues, whose scimitars are needed to open a gate to the main temple altar. Once this is done, Lara will come across the bodies of Randy and Rory, the two RX-Tech researchers along with Tony. She will need to complete tests of courage, agility and endurance in order to gain three Ganesha keys and exit the temple, to the banks of the River Ganges.
