Lara finally locates the artefact, but little does she know that she's in for a rather electric surprise.

The fourth and last level in the South Pacific stage, the temple is home to the island's god-king, Puna. Lara enters through a passageway from Madubu Gorge, and finds herself in the stone cut chambers deep within a central mountain of the island.

Summary

Lara starts off in a curved rock-cut corridor, at a crossroads. She can only go to the right, where a couple of tribesmen lie in wait with their blowpipes. As she ascends the stairs, she will eventually arrive at a large hall, where a rolling disc trap, very like those encountered in Tomb Raider II, will bar her way.

Once she has evaded this, Lara will have to escape from a room where spikes descend from the ceiling, and pass through into a series of huge boulder traps. Lara must initiate the traps and then run from them, avoiding pits of lava. Finally she will find herself back in the original crossroads, where another group of tribesmen will attack.

The gate to Puna's sanctuary is now open. Lara can slide down and will approach the pedestal where she can see the Ora Dagger. However Puna, Blofeldt style, swings round in his chair as she approaches and begins to attack. After she has defeated him, Lara can pick up the artefact, ending this quite short level.
