Lara wrecks Bartoli's seaplane in Tibet.

Lara emerges from the wreck of the Maria Doria and returns to the Offshore Rig. She climbs aboard Marco Bartoli's seaplane, and taxis it out of the rig ready to fly off to Tibet. She notices a warm woolen jacket and pulls it on.

Hours later and Lara is flying over the pristine white peaks of the Tibetan Himalayas. Suddenly a warning flight flashes that she is out of fuel, Lara is forced to make an emergency landing and parachutes out of the plane just before it is reduced to a blazing ruin. The level is the eleventh in Tomb Raider II.

Summary

The Tibetan foothills are a collection of plateaux and caves, snowbound in the grip of the worst Himalayan weather. Some of the mountain passes have been snowed under, while others have collapsed into yawning pits.

There is little sign of habitation apart from a hut that the Fiama Nera have taken over as their own. Using a snow mobile that she finds, much of Lara's sightseeing will have to be done on the move - although there is a considerable amount of walking still to be done.

At the end of the level there is a large crevasse with a body of water below it. A rocky passage leads to the Barkhang Monastery.
