Xian Spearmen

The spearmen of Xian guard certain areas of the Floating Islands and the Dragon's Lair. They usually appear as groups of jade statues that change into apparently flesh and blood creatures. They hold two spears and twirl them as they run after Lara. They can move much faster than their relatives, the Xian Swordsmen, but cannot fly as the swordsmen can. When they die, they turn back into jade statues and explode.

The Xian Spearmen are also given a special death sequence. When they kill Lara, they lift her off the ground with the ends of their spears and fling her to the ground.
